The renewal letter directed the technician to a website to register and a toll-free number. Inspectors may renew their certification by passing the required examination within 180 days of their expiration. What license classes are required? All license classes are subject to recertification and are based on the inspector’s current license. THE MANDATORY 30 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL BEFORE RENEWING YOUR HOME INSPECTION LICENSE. Please read ALL requirements and instructions before proceeding with the application process. A home inspector license must be renewed by the second anniversary of the issuance of the license and every two years thereafter.
On the left side of the MVA Central Scheduling System page, please select “Law (Learners) Retest”, read the special instructions and complete the scheduling process.

Texas Vehicle Inspector License Renewal
The Vehicle Safety Inspection System enables Vehicle Inspectors in the state of Maryland to complete Class A, B, C, M, T and A/M Trailer inspections, and submit them electronically to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.
To use this system, Maryland Inspection Stations will need to set up a registration account. Click here to set up an account. Once registered, each station can set up accounts for individual station personnel.
Access to this system is restricted to authorized users only and limited to approved business purposes. By using this system, you expressly consent to the monitoring of all activities. Any unauthorized access or use of this system is prohibited and may result in criminal and civil penalties. All records, reports, e-mail, software, and other data generated by or residing upon this system are the property of The State of Maryland and may be used by The State of Maryland for any purpose.
