Installing Brutal Doom On Steam

These are the steps to installing Brutal Doom/HDoom on your computer.

Unpack the contents of the archive into the folder with the game, agreeing to replace the files (Steam steamapps common Ultimate Doom) 4. Launch the game from the Steam library if you want the game counter to work. (If you want to play without a counter - run Doom.exe from the folder with the game). The complete megahit game that set the world afire. Plus All-New Episode IV: Thy Flesh Consumed. The demons came and the marines died. You are the last defense against these hell-spawned hordes. Prepare for the most intense mutant-laden, blood-splattered action ever!


Brutal Doom Mod

  1. Download the Doom Pack.
  2. Download Brutal Doom v20.
  3. Download HDoom Techdemo 7.
  4. Open ZDL.exe.
  5. In the Main / External Files section, add the following files:
    1. lights.pk3
    2. brightmaps.pk3
    3. v16 Zombie Sounds (BD Mutator).pk3
    4. NC-DE HUD-Brutal Doom.pk3
    5. Special Brightmaps.pk3
    6. DoomNukem's BD Weapons v1.pk3
    7. zdoom-dhtp-20121229.pk3
    8. IF BRUTAL DOOMR brutalv20b.pk3 OR IF HDOOM m12-hdoom-techdemo7
  6. In the Settings / IWADs, add the follow .wads:
    1. DOOM.wad
    2. DOOM2.wad
    3. DoomMetalVol4.wad
    4. Mr. Chris's Brutalized Doom 1&2 Levels.wad
    5. sound pk_doom_sfx_20120224.wad
    6. TNT.wad
    7. PLUTONIA.wad
    8. chex3.wad
  7. In the Settings / Source Ports/Engines section, add gzdoom.exe

Guide to Install Brutal Doom 64 (Step-by-Step)


Step 1Brutal
Go to wherever you have installed Doom 64 and delete everything inside the folder but not the folder itself.
If you don't know where your doom 64 folder is, go to your library, find Doom 64, second click it and to properties and choose Local Files and the Browse Local Files

How To Download Brutal Doom

Download Brutal Doom 64 from ModDB.
Click on the big red button that says download now.
Step 3
Extract everything inside of the folder “Brutal DOOM 64” that is inside of the zip file to the Doom 64 folder.
Step 4
Download a doom2.wad (from steam, GoG or other 'places') and put it inside the Doom 64 folder.
InstallingStep 5
Rename the bd64.exe to DOOM64_x64.exe.
Step 6
Launch the game normally.
Step 7
Enjoy!
